Our "Studio" Philosophy
Our philosophy is simple: Make our clients ecstatic with their portrait experience and they'll keep coming back for more.
Relationship Family Portraits created on location are our trademark. It's what we do best, because it works. But it hasn't always been that way. When we started in 1987 as Impact Image, we saw some of the "Big Studios" had camera rooms with tons of equipment and employees running all over the place. We thought that we would never be able to grow that way. And we haven't.
After a creating family portraits in the way that seemed too simple at the time, we realized that this method was greatly appreciated and enjoyed by our clients. It was so much more convenient for them. They didn't have to lug their clothes in the car, or wrinkle them on the drive to the session. Not to mention possible spills or traffic delays, or trying to get the kids to cooperate.
It really made so much sense to keep doing what we were doing. Trying to keep it simple. We arrive at your home, or other selected location and look over your clothing selection that we have already discussed at the initial consultation. Together, we decide on the clothes to wear for each pose, if we'll be photographing inside and outside. While you're changing, my associate and I are preparing the gear and deciding on the intricacies of the portrait. When you're ready, we simply start the posing process and begin the session. If some one gets tired, we relax. If a baby needs a nap, we let them, in their own bed (we can keep creating portraits, though).
We have the camera equipment and backup gear if there is a concern. We're usually quite prepared for whatever might happen on location. That's what comes after doing it this way for so long. Always looking, always watching, always prepared.
